John Thomas Wann

The son of William Wann JP of Markethill, John Thomas Wann was born 12 January 1838. He was educated at the Royal Academical Institution in Belfast.
John Thomas Wann left Ireland as a young man and entered service in the American railway in 1871.
He held the position of secretary and auditor of Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati & Indianapolis Railway about 1880 and New York, Pennsylvania & Ohio Railroad from 1890.
In 1895 John was appointed Auditor of the Eerie Railroad Company, with offices in New York, retiring from this position in 1902.
John Thomas Wann died at his residence in Buffalo, New York on 12 January 1913.
His wife and only child - a daughter, Mrs Boyd - survived him.
