William Wann JP

William Wann, the son of John and Eleanor Wann, was born about 1813. He married Margaret Mitchell of whom we know little - Margaret was born about 1809 and died in 1887 in Markethill.
Their children were William Dempsey Wann, John Thomas Wann,Charles Wann, James Christopher Wann, Frederick Alexander Wann, Frances Ellen Wann, Amanda Margaretta Wann, Henry Wann, Elizabeth Jane Wann, George Worthington Wann and Samuel Wann.

William Wann was a Justice of the Peace. From 1846 Willam Wann held the position of agent to Lord Gosford, a position which his father John Wann had previously held. William Wann appears to have had particular responsibility for the Gosford and Dungannon School Land estates. He was also a member of the Markethill Agricultural Society.
A John Mitchell is mentioned in the Gosford papers as cashier and rent-collector at the Estate Office 1833, and I wonder if John Mitchell could be related to Margaret Mitchell, William Wann's wife.

William Wann died in 1880.
